OUR DESIGN PROCESS

Preparation & Brief
An introductory meeting allows us to grasp the project's objectives and explore how lighting can enhance the overall vision and functionality. We work together with the project team to determine the lighting needs, taking into account both practicality and aesthetics.
Detailed Design
Once the development information is submitted, our design team will begin detailing the lighting installation. This will include lighting layouts with dimensions, control channel details, transformer/driver, electrical load calculations, and final luminaire/lamp specifications along with a control system specification.
Concept Design
Creating a lighting concept that complements the architectural design. During this phase, we also generate visuals to illustrate the suggested lighting plan and its impact on the environment.
Construction Monitoring & Revisions
A team member will visit site regularly, or as agreed upon by the client or electrical contractor, to oversee the quality and progress of the lighting installation. Additional coordination is needed to avoid any conflicts with other services and architectural features.
Design Development
The lighting design is refined according to feedback, and we add more specific details. This includes the types of fixtures, their placement, initial control channels, and cable distribution layout plans for electrical contractors to tender.
Commissioning
Upon project completion, we will evaluate the lighting scheme to ensure it aligns with the design intent. This process may include adjusting the placement of light fixtures and suggesting additional glare reduction as needed. The lighting designer will also collaborate with electrical and audio-visual contractors to program the lighting control system, ensuring accurate scene selections and dimming levels.
